Forget the smoothie shop: this sweet treat of an açai bowl is better than any you’ll find in a store. The key to our recipe is the added avocado, which gives the mixture a creamy texture and will leave your belly feeling full (and your sweet tooth satisfied).
In search of homemade baby food and raw purees? We’ve got you covered! The PURE Juicer isn’t only the best cold-press juicer on the market (thanks for making it official, Good Housekeeping!); it’s also an all-in-one appliance capable of producing all kinds of delicious homeground food. Pureés have never been so easy to make, so stay tuned for more. (Pro tip: take a peek at the PURE Juicer manual for a comprehensive list of creative ways to use the juicer.)
Eating unprocessed food has become quite popular over the last few years, and it’s not hard to see why when you consider all the nutritional benefits you get out of nutrient-dense whole foods. Not only that, many have found additional benefits of eating such foods raw–unpasteurized, untreated, and unrefined in any way, never heated above 104°F. “Raw foods are better quality, therefore you eat less to satisfy your nutritional needs,” says Nicole Malik, vegan author and creator of VegKitchen. “The heat of cooking depletes vitamins, damages proteins and fats, and destroys enzymes which benefit digestion.”
The PURE Juicer is the best two-step cold-press juicer on the market: grinding and pressing raw produce results in the most nutritious juice options to improve your health.
Lately, however, we have been experimenting with using only the press of the PURE Juicer to discover its effects on different types of produce. When our Chief Juicing Officer Jen found a great deal on melons–cantaloupe, watermelon, and honeydew–she knew she needed to buy them all and bring them to our test kitchen.

Are you looking for fresh ways to make it through the last month of summer?
Carrot-apple juice is a staple in Gerson Therapy and for our entire staff. The health benefits of carrots and apples (and their delicious taste!) easily make them some of our favorite ingredients.
When we stumbled upon a recipe for homemade carrot cake from Jessica Seinfeld’s book Vegan, at Times, we were excited to try it out in our test kitchen using our PURE Juicer grinder to provide home-ground apples and carrots.

Homemade hummus made entirely of raw, whole, natural ingredients? Yes, please. The PURE Juicer makes this process a breeze when you simply grind the ingredients through stage one. This recipe allows for modifications according to personal taste: start with our suggestions below but feel free to play around with the spices, especially the cumin and garlic! We used a #4 PURE juicer grid, but if you prefer a super-fine grind, use the #2.
