Make Homemade Nut Butter in Minutes

Learn how to make homemade nut butter in minutes with your juicer: preservative free, oil free, worry free.

This is going to be a short post, and it’s not because we don’t love nut butter (oh, how we do!). It’s just that making nut butter is SO EASY in your PURE Juicer, there’s only so much we can say about it.

Stage one of the PURE Juicer has proven to be a better food processor than . . .well, a food processor. How can this be?

We simply fill the feed chute, choose a grid to match how finely ground we want our butter, then push the nuts through for a beautifully smooth result.

PURE Nut Butter

The best news is, the nut butters we make in the PURE Juicer are 100% nut. We don’t add anything – no oil necessary. We do keep honey and maple syrup on hand in case someone prefers their nut butter on the sweeter side.

But aside from accommodating that sweet tooth, all you need to do is grind the nuts and enjoy.

When making nut butters, we only have a few recommendations.

Use Roasted Nuts in Your Nut Butter

We like to use nuts that are roasted. Just make sure you don’t use ones that are honey-roasted: honey-roasted nuts of any kind will clog the feed tube and potentially the grinder, shutting the juicer down.

Run the Grinder Twice for Smoother Nut Butter

If nuts go through the grinder and the texture isn’t as smooth as you would like, just run the mixture through once more. The nuts will blend together better a second time.

We are not sure why some nuts require this, but we’ve found this is a simple solution.

Clean the Nut Butter Out of the Feed Chute

Remember to clean the feed tube and get all the nut butter out. This is a great time to do a maintenance rinse. Don’t forget that the feed chute is dishwasher safe! Running it through the diswasher will give the chute a nice thorough cleaning.

What Can You Eat with Nut Butter?

There’s so much freedom in designing meals around raw foods! Just like all the creations we make with the PURE Juicer, these nut butters can be used in a variety of dishes. Of course we love them on sandwiches, but they can also be great in homemade sauces, pistachio pesto, and other plant-based creations.
